What is MEDAKA?
“MEDAKA” is Japanese native killi fish.
They are always around in the countryside and people them as lovelyneighbors.
“School of MEDAKA” is one of the songs kids would sing first in the kindergarten.
However, even they are harmless and tiny fish, native MEDAKA has a dark sober color.

It was around year 2 0 0 0 an effort to create enhanced MEDAKA species was initiated by Mr. Yukio Ohba, an expert of “Bonsai” in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima.
In 2004, Yukio introduced “YOHKIHI MEDAKA”, a revolutionary enhanced MEDAKA specie which was very beautiful and amazed Japanese society.

This triggered dramatic expansion of the MEDAKA market and brought in many people who created new species and contributed to today’s great turnout.
New species have been created and delivered to the market and 2016, over five hundred species were recognized.
